Serve the Block: Purpose Rooted in Community
Serve the Block is a hands-on community service experience centered on food security and care for our neighbors —because access to basic food and daily necessities should never be out of reach.
Volunteers will work along the Culinary Staff at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church to create basic hygiene kits and prepare bag lunches for distribution to Seattle’s unhoused community.
This in-person service project is part of Join Week 2026, a series of events inviting prospective and current members to experience the mission, impact, and community of the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle Young Professionals.
Please wear comfortable, warm clothing. While we will primarily be indoors, some volunteers will be temporarily outside to support loading, unloading, and distribution.
This event is free to attend, however, RSVP is required to ensure accurate supply and demand.
